Publishing & Review Conditions

The standards every review on Credibly is expected to meet, and how we handle problems.

1. Genuine experiences

Reviews should describe a real experience with the business. We do not create, edit or invent reviews.

2. Source attribution

Syndicated reviews show the original author, rating, date (or "date unknown") and a link to the original source, plus a separate Credibly publication date.

3. Conflicts of interest

Reviews written by business owners, staff or competitors about themselves or rivals are not acceptable.

4. Incentives

Reviews offered in exchange for payment, discounts or other rewards must not be submitted.

5. Impersonation

Do not pretend to be someone else. Directory profiles are editorial records and are never presented as the authors of syndicated reviews.

6. Personal information

Reviews must not reveal private personal information such as home addresses, phone numbers or private emails.

7. Harassment

Threats, abuse or targeted harassment are not allowed.

8. Prohibited content

  • Hate speech or discrimination
  • Sexually explicit content
  • Content that may infringe someone else's rights
  • Spam or advertising

9. Reporting

Use Report a review to flag a concern or ask for a correction. You may include an email if you want a reply; it is never published.

10. Proportionate moderation

New imported reviews are held for moderation by default. We review reports and may approve, reject, correct or withdraw content. Decisions are recorded. We do not guarantee removal, and a report does not mean the content is unlawful.
